Thank you all for providing so much information about other matters, and answering my
first question reqarding Internal Spmmers in IMAIL program.
Yet, I am still concerned. I have tried the "tips" Len indicated, but there seems no
way to really isolate an internal spammer without added equipment, cost, or labor.
This should not be such a "drudgery" process. Could not a "patch" be developed to
alert Host Managers of the "symptoms" occuring with an internal subscriber who is
likely spamming -- and taking bandwidth in the process.
IMail has some good features. But, the logging process, cleaning files to prevent
shutdowns, etc. should be better. Yes, we can do this manually, and we do not
experience downtime or some of the other problems mentioned in the list.
Yet, once a considerable size of subscribers builds, it is nearly not worth the time
to go through all the logs and hunt for the one or two who is abusing the service.
How about it developers? Catch file? ........ Who's got one?
Thanks.
