Bill,
It is not the Webmsg service that provides this function, but the IMonitor
Service. Stop and start that and you should not need the reboot. It also
creates a W1*.txt log file (in \imail\spool) that records actions. That and
the time the problem begins, may point you to particular 'actions' that are
stimulating the problem. Also, you state V5, but what 5.0X level? Bit late
to update now, but check Ipswitch site, to see if you can get/use the V5.0x
patches there, that could help.
Anything updated, added or changed on the computer (software/hardware) just
before this started happening? If so (and even if not!), suggest you
re-install SP6a, just to be sure, then reboot. Also check event logs for
errors/warnings and resolve all.
