We send messages to mobile devices like phones and pagers often. Some mobile phone companies don't truncate the messages and the users ends up getting 1 message split into 5. I am looking for a way to truncate a message so the user only receives the first say 100 characters in the body of an email message.
I know I could do this through a webform and limit input but that doesn't work for us.
I am not concerned with converting HTML formatted messages.
Any ideas?
