Stephane,
Looks sort of like a 'loop'. Make sure root is not a subscriber to the list
and if root has any autoresponders, remove them, too.
Generally, I would not use Root as the owner of a List. I would make a user,
just for that list, at least for testing.
If this is not a moderated list, try sending from another user account and
see if the 'loop' shows up again.
If you have problems 'breaking' the loop, stop the SMTP service, go to the
Queue and 'remove' any files that are from the list or root. Make sure
autoresponders are not enabled and then restart SMTP service. Check Queue
again (maybe over a few minutes) to be sure it does not happen again.
