Need a little more information to diagnose the problem.

Do you provide their Internet Access? If not their ISP may have port 25
blocked for unknown IP addresses. If that is the case they will need to use
the SMTP server of the ISP to send mail.

What do they get when they try to send mail? Do they get an error message?
Do they get a request for user name and password?

Subject: [IMail Forum] Client can receive but not send

: I have a client using Outlook Express 5, and they're saying that they can
: get their mail without a problem, but can't send mail on the same account.
: I've gone through all the basic setup stuff with them, and everything
seems
: to be correct. I set up the mail account on my workstations (Outlook
2000),
: and it works fine for me.
:
: Anyone ever seen this problem before? I'm at a loss. I've searched the
MS
: Knowledge Base and Deja, but to no avail.
:
: TIA
