Mike, If the mirror is complete (a full copy of the C: drive and IMail installed there), you should be able to get all you need from it. Been a while since I had this kind of problem, but when I did, all I did was remove the first (failed) drive, change the mirror to be the boot drive and restarted. Everything was there and OK. I then installed a new drive to be the mirror and once that process finished, system was just fine. I'd suggest that if it does come up, do a backup right away, or get that new mirror drive in place, ASAP! I've seen those SMTP32 and Dr W errors before, but never seen them as a cause of a crash. Usually, just ack them and things return to normal. Even if SMTP32 processes are left 'orphaned', one can use the kill.exe from NT Resource Kit to remove them from the active processes. As a matter of fact, that is the method I would most recommend (no need for a restart or stopping SMTP service). Are you sure the Dr W errors were for SMTPD32 and not SMTP32? They are different, with the first being the SMTP Service (only one copy is running) and the second is the delivery process (may be up to 30 at any one time, one starts and stops for every email 'sent'). NT gets really messed up if free disk space is exhausted. Apparently it can write over boot sectors and stuff like that. Could that be part of the problem?
