Michael,

Any info in the Event logs during this 3-4 days? Have you tried installing
IMail again (just run the install, accept all defaults and this will only
overwrite program files)?.

For that Imonitor error, KB recommends manually installing those services
(which full install should do, but may take longer). Just to be most
careful, might be a good idea to stop all IMail service before any install
attempt (install does this, but possible something might not stop in timely
manner and keep the install from overwriting 'in use' files).
