In the SMTP Security settings, do you have the 'Disable SMTP Auth Reporting'
turned on? That would keep IMail from advertising the capability and Eudora
from seeing Auth and sending Auth commands. The logs are different in that
OE log show this line:
> 02:01 11:56 SMTPD(00000122) Authenticated [EMAIL PROTECTED],
> session treated as local.
And Eudora does not, which means it is not even attempting AUTH.
Don't forget to stop/start SMTP service if you make changes to SMTP Security
settings!
If you do not have it enabled, then the client is not recognizing it for
some reason. Can you show Eudora client logs to see if it see the AUTH
lines?
