Sounds like a 'lock' again. Multiple accesses to the clients mailbox, could
cause a conflict such that each process cannot complete its modifications to
the mailbox.

Easiest/quickest way I know to clear this is to stop the SMTP, POP3, IMAP4,
Web MSG services and start them again. If you want to find out which one is
holding the lock, stop/start each in turn and access the mailbox to see if
you can delete a message. If you cannot, then try next service.
