I reached that "255" limit with my domain aliases too. The solution was to
created a virtial domain with no IP and user mailboxes in the same directory
as real domain mailboxes. We then aliased this virtual domain as we added
more compaines to our system. This rule "255" works for virtual domains as
well so now we have "510" rule. As soon as we reach 255 limit on aliases
again, we'll create another virtual domain.
