One pb with some of the access providers that block port 25 is that 
they also force the sender to use the access provider's envelope:

MAIL FROM: sender@accessprovider

rather than your own [EMAIL PROTECTED], because they know that 
can be abused.

But apart from that, the "convenience" to users, worldwide, of being 
able to relay through one/your Imail has to offset against all 
their/your aggro of discovering that some access provider du jour 
blocks port 25. Plus, for IMGate users, they have to open up their 
Imail to Internet for SMTP AUTH rather than blocking Internet access 
to Imail's port 25.
