Hi All,
I currently run Imail 6.06. Just recently, we put in an Exchange server
(Exchg 5.5). So now I have an Imail account ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and an
Exchange account ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). We put the Imail system in about
2 years ago. I have 12 virtual domains on Imail including mine
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). I want to move the misd.net users to Exchange and leave
the other virtual hosts on the Imail system. The other virtual hosts are
our school districts and the domain name for them is district_name.misd.net.
This is where it gets sticky. I want to migrate just the misd.net users to
the Exchange server without losing the naming convention we already have (so
my users won't have to change stationary, business cards....and so on). To
be a bit clearer, I want to move [EMAIL PROTECTED] off of Imail and move the
ID to the Exchange server and still keep the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
You might be wondering why I don't just forward the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail
to [EMAIL PROTECTED]? The reason is, when we forward calendar
appointment/message through the Imail system to the Exchange system from
Outlook, it comes in as just a message instead of an appointment and does
not schedule in the calendar. The message is losing something during the
forwarding process. If I send the appointment directly to the Exchange
account, the appointment is scheduled just fine. It is when I forward
through the Imail account to the Exchange account that the appointment is
lost.
Any help would be appreciated. I am in a real pickle I think....
