We have iMail with all the latest patches installed, running on a Win2K server.
I am using IMAP to handle my messaging.
Something I have noticed with iMail that never happened with other mail
servers we have used in the past. If you use the Filter Message option in
Eudora to move message from the inbox to another mailbox, messages end up
in the wrong folder or all messages end up in one of the folders that
certain messages should be moved to. The latter seems more common.
With Sendmail or WorldMail, this never happened with IMAP.
The other odd thing, moving messages which contain attachments from one
folder to another as a group, seems to stalls and you must cancel the
transfer and try again. Eventually all the messages all moved. Message
without attachments, never exhibit this problem.
Is there a glitch/bug of some sort in the IMAP portion of iMail?
I have been Eudora for some time to handle messages using IMAP, this is the
first time we have ever had problems of this kind. Our iMail server is
about two weeks in production at this point.
