So CADVISION has done classless reverse delegation, correctly, for
your less-than-Class-C ip block, it appears.

Indicating that ucalgary is at least partly culpable here, maybe
fully culpable and you're ok.

>now i also host domains for a couple clients
>in there records i have A records for www that point to
>web.planetinterlink.com and mail > mail.planetinterlink.com and also a MX
>that points to mail.planetinterlink.com

ok, so all your MX's point to mail.planetinterlink.com, that's ok,
simplifying if good

>they can not emai ucalgary.ca either. Should the A record that i have fro
>the hosted domains be CName records ?

In the current confusion (yours and ucalgary's), please don't add any
CNAME's, AND replace any CNAME's you have now with A records. your
confusion and any errors will begin to dispel. Ucalgary is totally
screwed up with thier own CNAMEs.

Anyway, Ucalgary says they reverse the ip of your Imail server to
find the PTR, and there is one correctly delegated, this has nothing
to do with the forward zone and they have nothing to complain about.

If all your Imail virtual hosts are on one ip, then all your 30
domain's MX records can point to mail.planetinterlink.com.

>Confused, i am

hmm, yes :)))

And I think ucalgary is screwed up in their policy and I know they
are totally screwed up in their DNS.

Can you give me a mail address that I can send to there to see if
they accept mail from my IMGate where I
know the reverse is El Perfecto?

btw, paste them with the dig results above to show them how nicely
your reverse is set up.

See what they say aboot that, eh?
