Yes it is very simple, we run all of our web-mails for over 100 clients like
http://mail.clientsdomainname.com
In IMAIL Server Web Messaging (found in the start menu - IMail - Web
messaging manager) under the TAB 'Web Server' you can specify what port you
would like to use. Just put in 80 instead of 8383, you are going to have to
start and stop services after you do this to take effect, but IMail should
do that automatically for you.

Well - if you are typing http://... .../ without any port number, then your
browser will assume port 80. So, you either need to run Imail on port 80
(instead of port 8383) - or you need to run SOME web server to answer that
port. The web server does not have to be IIS5, or even IIS anything. But
if you want to talk to port 80 and NOT run Imail on port 80 - then SOMETHING
has to run to answer port 80.
If you don't have any web server running, then you can still outsource the
redirection, e.g. - point http://email.test.com to a third party web hosting
firm which will gladly REDIRECT to your internet http://test.com:8383/
without the users involvement.
