We're going to move and upgrade our IMail server. I was planning on
installing the old IMail (5.04) on the new server then import the IMail
registry, users and spool directory from the old server to the new one. Then
upgrade IMail on the new server to 6.06. By doing it this way I have the old
server untouched in case something goes wrong with the upgrades.

Ipswitch recommend to do it the other way around, upgrade IMail on the old
server, install 6.06 on the new server and then import the registry, users
and spool from the old.

Is there any reason why it would be better to do it the way Ipswitch
recommends?
