Yes, The odbcuser.dll that is shipped with IMail does not work with MySQL.
You can get a patched odbcuser.dll that works for IMail and MySQL here.

Subject: [IMail Forum] MySQL auth problem
Hello,
I am attempting to use MySQL to auth for IMail. I have everything working
if you are checking on, say outlook express. However if you login to the
web interface it returned invalid folder. Upon examination of the table you
can see that it removes the "\" from the "USERDIR" if you insert "\\" then
it will allow you to login 2x correctly removing the a "\" each time.
Any one have a work around for this??
Thanks in advance,
