We had a user who created these rules on 3/19/01 at 1:32PM EST:
F~@:NUL
T~@:NUL
This of course had the effect of deleting all her E-mail. Since these 2
strange things happened at about the same time, what about the previously
noted security problem with Webmail -
1.) Spammer sends out spam with a URL embedded.
2.) User clicks on URL, their browser passes their login string to the
spammer's web site as the referrer .
3.) Spammer waiting at the web site hijacks the webmail login and creates
these sorts of rules.
There's nothing further IPSwitch can do; we are all victims of AOL's
stupid rotating IP address proxies. We've all had to uncheck Web Messaging
Server "Ignore source address in security check" box because of AOL.
I'm in the process of tracking down the logs, but it'll take a few days
to find that backup tape and get the IP of the one who did it.

A user created this rule.
It turned out like this:
S!~hey there:NUL
What did she do to make that happen? It deleted all her incoming mail.
