The log tells the story. It looks like IMail was told by the remote '500
line too long' which caused IMail to fail the delivery (not sure why the
remote would have given that error, not seen it before!) and sent the
postmaster message. The remote said it failed, but for some reason, it
accepted and delivered the message. Sounds like the remote gives the error
message, even though it can accept the message. It probably should not do
that. Or the error message is 'in error', it should not have generated and
sent it to the SMTP sender.
A though occurs.... Without seeing the body of the message or seeing the
client used to create it, it may be possible that if the sender uses a
different client, the 'long line' in the body, might not occur. If that does
have an effect, it might indicate a client problem.
