"Double spooling" isn't a standard E-mail term. A logical interpretation would be
that they think you are sending out 2 copies of the E-mail when you only want to send
one copy.
You should ask him why his server is rejecting your E-mail -- saying that it is
"double spooled" or "your problem" isn't a reason for rejecting mail. You need to
know the reason why they wouldn't accept it ("We only allow one RCPT TO: per
connection", for example). Did the IMail logs you looked at give any clue?
