By telephone, or by a backup email address they gave you when you created
their account. Our EZSignUp utility has an automatic system to mail the
password to their backup address, for example.

Note that if you use the default IMail user database (registry), the
passwords are encrypted and you won't be able to read them unless you
script an app to decrypt them. If you use an external db, the passwords
are stored in plain text. Sometimes it's easiest just to reset the user's
password in the IMail admin console, and tell them over the phone what
you've set it to.
