I am watching my Imail server 6.06 fail to send mail to multiple users in
the "dentrix.com" domain.
When I look at dentrix.com; there is only one mx record; mail.dentrix.com
The logs show:

An MX failure to 207.88.79.114 which is "mail.dentrix.com"
But then it connects to the "A" record of 207.88.79.116
Maybe I misunderstood DNS records, but I thought if there were MX records
they were used for mail delivery and "A" records were ignored. Is it
right if MX records fail, then it will then resort back to the A records
??? I thought it would just stay in MX records if they were defined,
and not even try A records ???
