We've got this imail server we setup in January of 2000. My supervisor,
he's got an e-mail account we set up along with the mail server.
He's got his settings set to delete the mail on the server. At times, he
says, he has turned that off to have it save mail on the server but has
always eventually turned it off and pulled all the messages down. He said
for the past two months it's been set to delete mail on the server.
He says he specifically remembers many times even in the last few days when
he would login via webMail and find zero messages in the box.
Well, today, he said he goes to pull down his e-mail and he pulled down
messages dating back to January of 2000; thousands of e-mails from the past
year and a half.
I can't explain it, he can't explain it. It's completely mind boggling.
Does Imail somehow keep a cache/file, something of messages even if they
have been deleted from the mailbox?
