Roy,

The only registry entry for a List is that which defines the Aliases it uses
and I'm assuming these are the ones you think are OK.

Did you by any chance change the hostname or IP address of the computer? Is
the problem list one in the domain running on the Primary IP? Did you add a
new domain just prior to noticing the problem?

Well, you can re-install IMail at any time and it won't change any of your
settings or lose any users, but that is not likely to fix a List Server
problem (since its settings won't change!). So although it won't hurt, I
don't see it helping in this situation.

That a new list in the problem domain also gives you problems, tells me that
something basic about the domain and its definition, is probably incorrect.
But once that domain is corrected, you should be able to get lists working.
That other domains and their list do work, tells me that IMail's list server
is OK and the problem is domain related.

What is the domain name that is having problems and what is the name of the
list having trouble? What are the settings for that domain (in IMail Admin -
the first 4 items on the General tab)? What is the definition of the
'imailsrv' alias in this domain? What is the definition of the
'owner-listname' and 'listname-owner' aliases? What are the settings for
this list (all that are found on the General tab)?

Hello Dan,

I tried what you suggested to no avail.

I checked the registry and the setting seems to be correct.

Would it make sense to reinstall the software? Is this risky? Will I lose my
existing settings, users, hosts?

I have been trying to set up a few new lists on the listserver to see if I
can replicate the problem. However, when I create a new list server on this
domain I get an error when I post to it. "Article rejected null body or file
error". Other new lists on other domains work fine and have the correct
reply to working. It almost sounds like a corrupted domain.

Any other thoughts I could try?

Roy,

Never seen this before, but I have seen a few instances where an IMail
setting is shown (in IMail Administrator) as one way, but operates in the
other. This has been fixed by: changing the setting in question, to the
other state, then changing it back. If an IMail service is involved (which
is not, in this case), stop and start the service after each change.
