I am running IMail 6.05 and 6.06 and have my e-mail package set to leave mail on the server for 7 days. If I go to Internet Explorer and go to port 8383 on ether of the IMail servers and look at my mail then click DELETE ALL. The uidl number get reset to 1 so the next time I use my pop3 client and get my mail it says there is no new mail and if I go back to the web site and look. I have mail there waiting for me! I also noticed that in the C:\IMail\Users\username for this user that the main.uid file get deleted by the web version if you delete all. From what I have seen is that this is the file that tells IMail what the next UIDL number should be. In the pop3 client it uses the UIDL number to keep track of the last message it downloaded to the client.
Anyone got any ideas about this? Is this a bug in IMail. I also ran a test on a Unix box that was running Linux and the UIDL number get very big and never repeats the number. In IMail I have two messages with the same UIDL number in them
