There are valid reasons for getting duplicates messages! If someone sends to
me and to a list to which I am a member, I get 2 copies of the message (they
are processed at different times so 'message de-duplication processes'
cannot reduce the mail to a single message.
To see if they are really duplicates, open Web Messaging and see if it show
2 messages or just one. In your email client, look at the header and if the
ID is different, then they are different messages.
Mailbox access method should not make any difference (but if the client has
a problem, it might!).

Subject: [IMail Forum] Recieving Mail twice
>
> Okay my second question for the day. I have two users (I know a very
small number) that have been recieving duplicate copies of EMail. I know
that this is most likely an Outlook error but I want to double check. Is
there anything in IMail that states wheter or not a particular client has
read an email yet. I am gong to switch them all over to IMAP but I want to
get this resolved first.
