Hi,

We recently moved our mail server from windows NT 4 SP6 to windows
2000 adv server, everything worked fine except local mail using an
outlook or similiar client would not work. Webmail worked fine
and anything on the outside of our network would work fine as
well. I tried telneting to the mail server address on the outside
port 110 and 25 and i can get in there fine, but If I do it from
an inside address it says connection lost immediately. Its not a
relay problem as I have switched it from relay to addresses and
relay for all. Maybe its a windows settings that its not picking
up on the address. If i'm on the machine locally and try to telnet
to 10.1.1.6 port 110 or 25 (the machines ip) it gives me same
exact thing connection lost. However if I do telnet 127.0.0.1 110
or 25 it works fine. Somehow its not picking up the address and
its really strange as I have one host under a 10.1.1.6 address in
imail. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Regards,

Don
