Sounds like your remote machines are Win2K machines as well. The error you
described is typical of a Win2K client trying to register itself in DDNS,
but the DNS server the domain is using is not a DDNS server. It should be
noted here, that a RRAS client will ALWAYS use whatever DNS server is
configured in the TCPIP stack of the RRAS server, regardless of client
settings. Probably not relevant to your problem at all. I echo Len, check
your gateway...

The DNS server for this DC does not support dynamic DNS. Add the DNS records
from the file %System root%\System32\Config\netlogon.dns to the DNS Server
tserving the domain refrernced in the file.
I have assigned a range of IP addresses for static use (For the modems).
