This is how it looks to me.

You guys are talking about two different circumstances.

 If you have an existing SA on IMail on the release date of the new version,
you get the new version free.

If you don't have an active SA, but are an IMail user, you have 30 days to
evaluate 7.0 and purchase an SA at the old price.

If you are just now purchasing IMail for the first time, you gotta pay more.

I purchased IMail at version 4.  I skipped 5 altogether, and about 2 years
after initial purchase, got a Service Agreement for ~300-400 bucks that gave
me the full 6.0 package

I don't work for Ipswitch, so you'd better get a read from them, but that's
the way it looks to me.

This will create a problem for me. I already told the owners that we would
receive this upgrade for free. It will take some serious complaining on my
part to get him to pay for the service! I think it is wrong for ipswitch to
go back on their offer. I can almost guarantee that the owner will call and
complain personally to Ipswitch.
