I have been selling computer hardware and I have been having pretty good
luck getting the leasing companies to cover lots of software in the lease
deals for my customers. It's very easy if I bundle it with hardware.
Example mail server with software and setup = lots more money then without
software.

First of all, I do not agree with FREE anything, I sell products and
services, I do not give them
away, however, I own a small hosting company and we are in a large growth
period right now
which most of you know, drains cash flow big time... and we have put out
$4500 for the new
IMail Server w/Win2k, $1500 for IMail 6 (pre 7 release and upgrading from
Post.Office to IMail), and
now we have to put out another $295 for the HKSI templates, $129 for the
EZSignup, $500
for Declude Virus, $20 for F-Prot, $500 for Declude Junkmail (not absolutely
necessary right away)
and finally, if we want to upgrade our service dept. right, $2000 for
Answertrack...
This is not to say these products are not worth the $$ the companies are
charging, in fact I think
they are well worth it, but for us smaller companies it is a LARGE amount of
our revenue.

Any investors or leasing companies on this list ? :-) heh
