you may notice that most double opts send from the web form to the
un/subscriber with instructions to reply, which gets sent to the mailserver
for processing...this doesn't work well with Imail 7.02, not sure about all
the other versions - what happens on a bunch of the messages are the quotes
denoting a forwarded message, or html reformatting. Both kill the
un/subscribe action on the imail box with unlawful command.
check out www.declude.com/confirm
send the form directly to the imail server, and let 'confirm' handle the
rest. Slick, and free. Don't tell Susan how much I like confirm. (just
kidding)
Thanks,
Kevin

ftp://ftp.ipswitch.com/ipswitch/product_support/imail/imailsrv2.zip

imailsrv.pl - a perl script which allows users to subscribe to a list via a
html form. This new version sends the subscriber an e-mail which they must
reply to before they are subscribed to the list. This extra step prevents
people from subscribing or unsubscribing other people without their consent.

Double opt in.... very good in this day and age.

VERY easy... very easy...

But, needs perl to be installed on the web server that you will be using.

Subject: [IMail Forum] HELP PLEASE - Listserv Web Form

Does someone have a very simple form that works to subscribe and unsubscribe
people from lists on Imail that would be willing to share with me on or off
this list? I want to be able to use a form have the user type in their name
and email address and subscribe or unsubscribe from the lists on my server
by using a drop down box to select the list.

Thank you in advance.

Kevin
