Hi Adrian,

You've probably already found the problem, but we are finding it more
and more...

Typically, the customer's ISP has blocked all outgoing mail traffic
through Port 25, with the exception of their own mail server.

To resolve this problem, have the customer change their outgoing mail
server to the ISP's outgoing mail server.

Most ISP's give an email address with the dial-up account, and therefore
supply the customer with an outgoing mail server address.

Just have them go to

        Tools/Accounts/Properties

And click on the server's tab.

Then update the outgoing mail server from your mail server to the ISP's
outgoing mail server and things should work fine from that point on.

Good Luck and have a wonderful day! :)

Subject: OT: Can't oubound connect on port 25

A customer has just encountered a problem. The server cannot outbound
connect to port 25 any longer. This appears to be the case in Imail
6.06 (all patches) as well as in Telnet. I can do anythign else on the
server ie browse the web, telnet to port 80 etc. But Imail can't
connect out on port 25 for some reason, nor can telnet. I've had the
firewall power cyclyed as well. Any idea's?
