Time stamped where? An Outlook time stamp from when the E-mail was
received, the "Date:" header from when it was sent, or one of the Received:
headers which (should) show a time in between those two extremes?

Then it was probably the Date: header. That is set by the E-mail
client. That would mean that the sender's computer has the wrong time on it.
If it wasn't the Date: header, you can send the headers of the E-mail in
question, and I can analyze it further.
