Before I had a chance to complete my thoughts, I set a reply on what registry entry to change.
There is a known problem in web messaging wherein if you forward a message without editing it, ie, really allowing the forwarder to edit it or not, the wrong message or another message in the folder may be forwarded. I called Ipswitch and they advised me to have the user allow editing of forwarded messages. At my business, we coddle the users, IMHO, a bit too much, so they told me how to do it via the registry. This put me on a mission to see how the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains\FQDN\Users\username\type is changed. I've attached an Excel spreadsheet of my findings which includes the solution to the posted question. ~Alan ----------------------------------------------------------------- Alan Shepro Slone Epidemiology Unit Boston University Medical School 1010 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA 02215 Tel 617-734-6006 x235 Fax 617-738-5119 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chinnathampi, Jesudas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 8:45 AM Subject: [IMail Forum] Messages Not moved to the Deleted Folder, when we delete messages . : Hi : : In Web Messaging, when we delete a message, it is not going to the Deleted : Folder. : : I know that, we can move the messages to the deleted folder by setting the : preferences.
