<$.02> As I see it, IPSwitch took themselves out of the game by not replying to emails on this this (I won't even address the tech support issue because I have always received my tech support from this list). If IPSwitch wants back into the game, I don't think anyone on this list would mind if they started replying to posts and offering support, as long as it is done honestly and openly. This includes letting everyone know who you are, accepting the criticism of issues, and being genuinely helpful. I would hope that most people on this list would be forgiving to IPSwitch in the name of improving their own mail servers. </$.02>
Todd -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Rick Peacock Sent: Monday, December 03, 2001 3:00 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail, Declude, AV First, I should clarify that Scott did NOT say that he contacted the CTO. That was Roger Heath. My sincere apologies for the misunderstanding. I had lumped Roger and Scott in with the "Pro-Delude" crowd which seemed to be flaming a product and company I have trusted for many years. I think that everyone will agree that not every solution works for every customer. Delude obviously has had great success for many years, providing a service not available before now. Some people will continue to use Delude, while others will switch to ImailAV. Each has its pros and cons. I know that we will use the Imail AV, because it was built by IPSwitch and runs with Symantec, a world leader in AV. There is a severe lack of good business in this world, and IPSwitch has always done good by me. When I find a company that works for me,and with me, I stick by them . As I said earlier, I don't know Delude, or ever heard of it before now. I am just defending IPSwitch, as they are unable to defend themselves (See the "Harry Sack's Brother?" emails - just as snide as I have been). Anyone defending IPSwitch is suddenly "under suspicion". Perhaps there will come a time when IPSwitch can respond to our posts here just as we do. Until then, I will defend IPSwitch, not for personal gain, but for professional pride.
