The version I have is 1.0.0.1 and is the 98K version and I am still on 6.0.6.
I'm not sure which one for 7.0.4.

However, did you do an optimize LDAP from your domain tab in the administrator to see 
if it took.  If it added the records to the person.dta then they should be there. (Of 
course provided there is no change in the format of person.dta between 6.0.x and 7.0.x)
