Brad, As it is I-mail's Web mail problems I am having most of my problems with, you comments peak my interest to me. What version did you test with? I was just looking at the smartmax site and they have a "new" version out. Version 4.8. If you tested an earlier version, it will be interesting to see if they made any improvements, or pulled the same "New features, same old bugs" approach IpSwitch did.

I loved the full SQL database integration but I tossed and turned all night wondering if the server would make it through the night. It's just not as staple as iMail is. Plus - you don't have the industry support of things like HKSI's web mail or Declude's Virus. And their webmail product (which is an add on btw) sucks hard core. List is an add on too. And they aren't an integrated add ons - they are loosly fit - work with any mail server add ons. ~Brad -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of buskeyl Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2001 3:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Thinking about dumpin gI-mail Can anyone give me some feedback on Mail Max? I have about had it with Ipswitch and their Tech support SCAM. MailMax looks promising, is there anything I should know about it? I just plugged F-Prot into my network. Lean, quick install, nothing extra, no complicated set- up, 10 mins per PC. The scheduled update works like a charm, and I didn't have to fill out a 3 page registration form to get it working either (you know who I mean)nor am I inundated with pop- ups when I visit the site. It works on all my flavors of Windows (I got 'em all). Plus, it caught no less than 12 instances of infected files that have been happily co-existing with another AV software (possibly for more than a year) on my fileserver. Kudos to F-Prot, I'm impressed.
