Beginning Friday, our server basically stopped functioning. The temporary T*.smd files never get converted to Q*.smd, probably because the D*.smd files are imcomplete. As opposed to containing the complete message, they only have the first two lines.
The volume of incoming mail has increased dramatically at the same time, but I think it is still below the server ability to handle it. (Up from 7,000 msg/day to 30,000.) I'm not ready to lay blame to a DOS, but it is possible I guess. I've cleared all the D* and T* files from the spool directory several times. Reapplied the 6.06 hot fix. Rebooted. Nothing works. Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated. I've included representative lines from the log file, T* and D* files.
