That could be a normal (temporary) condition.

The mailbox index files changed between v6 and v7.  When upgrading to v7, 
you have the option of reindexing all the mailboxes during the install, or 
reindexing them as people access their E-mail.  If you chose to reindex as 
the files are accessed, then when people log on to web messaging or access 
their E-mail via POP3/IMAP, the files will be reindexed.  Once they have 
been reindexed once, it shouldn't be necessary again for that user.
