That's what I thought (I see it on our current SQL server, which grabs 1.7GB out of 2GB of ram in the box). Is there any performance loss doing it this way (on a separate box) vs. registry?
I must be just dumb, but I've gone through the IMail 7 manual (I'd swear it's just the v4 manual with an update here and there). Other than telling me to use ODBCUSER.dll, there is no useful information. Does this .dll work with SQL 2000? And what is the format we are supposed to use for the tables? It says set up the link to the table, but doesn't give us field names, layout, etc...? Finally, I know that new users and aliases (and vacation messages?) can be added to the database directly (will use Cold Fusion scripting for this). But, can I add a new virtual domain (shared IP) this way also, or do I have to go to the console screen for that? If I'm missing a good resource that explains all of this, my apologies! I've been using this for years, so I do know the program, and have gone through the book twice. Am I just in a fog? : ) Thanks!
