We are having problems with our server (7.05, no hotfix 1) in that the server stops responding for a couple minutes to any POP actvitity. I assume it is also not responding to web mail and smtp as well. After a couple minutes it continues again usually.
Ipswitch support says this can occur if there is a bad user mailbox. They said to log POP logins and look in the logfile once the problem occurs for anything peculiar in a login. We'll do this. My question is: have any of you seen this type of a problem and if so, how did you find the bad mailbox? Is there any way to check for bad mailboxes to try and fix the problem? We did not have this occur until this past Tuesday so it is something new.
