Sorry, guys...you need more than a phone line and a phone number to create SMS messages. Suggest you look at the IETF specs for SMS. There are lots of SMTP-to-SMS packages, ranging from cheapish desktop-based (and probably low-capacity) to $$$ server apps. You might be able to run one of the former on an Imail box and have it poll a designated POP3 mailbox to redirect SMS messages, but I'd do lots of testing...
