IIS only requires SMTP if you are using CDO. Either way, MS SMTP can be switched to port 26 (or anything else that's unused) for incoming connections and this will not cause any problems. CDO does not use TCP/IP, so it doesn't care what port it's on. This is a FAQ, just so you don't get dependent on the list. Look it up further in the archives.
