In addition, I don't know of any package that gives you better, faster,
more accurate support than you will get from Scott.

This has been discussed in great length in this forum.

You probably won't see many reviews for some time to come since it is a
new product. Is it any better or any worse than other products? Well,
that's for you to decide.

IMO, the price is very high compared to other products out there. We
use Symantec's AntiVirus for Internet gateways. The cost is minimal for
the acutal product. Although you can run the AV product on the same
machine as IMAIL, it's really developed for a separate machine. For
about $1000 or less, you can use an older PIII with about 128Mb of
memory and you're OK. This can vary with your actual traffic.

Other folks here use Declude, and from their responses, it's a great
product that integrates with IMail and costs a lot less. With Declude,
you also have to purchase a command line anitvirus product like Mcafee
or FProt, for Example.

Both of these examples costs a lot less that Ipswitch's solution, which
is also a good product. It's like Declude/Symantec all rolled into one.

Just my $.02 worth

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail Anti Virus opinions

Hi all..

My company is on the verge of buying Imail Anti Virus for our Imail
server.. It appears to be a better product than Declude and I like the
fact that it's powered by Symantec's software.. But I'm having a
difficult time finding reviews on the product outside of Ipswitch's
website.

Any Imail Anti Virus users out there that would like to share some
opinions?

Thanks,
-Ryan
