Imail's list server is the most basic of list servers, missing key design
points such as automatic bounce processing and double opt-in un/suscribe.

Imail's queue processing, used by the list server, uses a single
subdirectory, so having a few 10 or 100 thousands files in the queue is
disaster.

You should get a dedicated Mailing List Manager, MLM, and a infrastructure
class Mail Transfer Agent, MTA.

The easiest way to achieve volume and reliability is to split the total
list over several machines, where parallelism gives both throughput and
redundancy.
