I have not tried to run iMail based on SQL. I was considering it because I was also considering storing all of my LiveStats and IIS logs on the SQL box as well. This would give me one ODBC compliant place to review a *lot* of information. Convenient, don't you think? But you say that there are penalties when using SQL as an external database. What are the drawbacks, if you don't mind? With the IMGates, I was considering using two at first, using them as primary and backup for incoming, and selecting the second one (less preferred for incoming mail) to handle all of the outgoing mail. Thank you, everyone, for your opinions. I am looking forward to growing beyond one box. Very Respectfully, Michael E.
