I've seen complaints on several lists in the last 10 days about greatly increased spam from APNIC zones. Spare our .au and .nz friends, but for the rest, there's: http://cgi.apnic.net/apnic-bin/ipv4-by-country.pl?xx It really is a cyber war against both port scanning (you'll have to block at ip level at edge router) and mail-abuse (IMGate for those of you with sufficient mail volumes, but NOTE: __ANY__ tiniest MX host can be SMTP-DoSsed, so the defense must be an SMTP gateway on the ramparts). Battle stations everyone, BOFH rules apply until further notice, probably forever. You really, really, really don't want your mailbox server to be your MX host.
