That means that it IS an open relay (I'm assuming you are using the "Relay
for local users" option). Any spammer in the world can send as much E-mail
as they want if you use the "Relay for local users" option.

Are you using "Relay for local users" ("conditional relay based on valid
user"), or "Relay for addresses"? Only one can be used at a time. If you
use "Relay for addresses" (or "No mail relay"), you're as safe as you can be.

If you check your IMail log file (probably \IMail\spool\SYS0318.txt) at
around 15:02, you should see the E-mail, along with the reason for
non-delivery that excite is giving. It might, for example, say "550-
[EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't accept any E-mail from domains beginning with
the letter 'c'" (a silly example, but usually the message provides a clue
as to the problem).
