>Guys, Our Imail server v7.06 can not send emails to specific domains while >our sendmail server can.
The first thing I notice is that your IMail server is listed as an open relay in the ORDB database. >It takes some time in the Imail server to send the message then it just >bounces back to me saying, "undeliverable to [EMAIL PROTECTED]" That's something that hopefully IMail will change soon, to prevent admins from hours of wasted time. If it said "undeliverable to [EMAIL PROTECTED]: 550 Message rejected; you are listed in ORDB", you would have known immediately what the problem was. Instead, however, you have to go to the IMail SMTP log file to find out. >I tried to send the mail to the exact recepient via sendmail server, and >it sent it with no problems. That would suggest that you are being blacklisted. >I'm also 100% sure that we're not SPAM blacklisted by any of the receiving >hosts.. >Am I missing something here? Yes. Your 100% certainty level should be modified: http://www.DNSstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=208.231.5.107 shows that you are listed in ORDB. http://www.ordb.org/lookup/?host=208.231.5.107 proves that you are (or were) an open relay. Since it looks like you are no longer an open relay, you should schedule a retest at ORDB. But still definitely check out the IMail SMTP log file, as that may or may not account for the bounces. -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
