It's  not  technically  a  mail  loop  (since  each  message  would be
different) but yes, this can happen.

The  real  problem  is MUAs that will auto-respond to Precedence: Bulk
mail (which they really shouldn't, though AFAIK this has never made it
into an RFC for MUAs). But once the e-mail is out there, since there's
also  no  MUST  for  auto-response  formats,  it  looks like any other
e-mail;  if  the  client doesn't tag and filter its own format, either
manually or automatically, off it goes again.

It  can  be made smarter by using password-protected lists. Go for it,
if  your  memberbase  can  deal. You can also search for and kill text
like "Out of Office."
